Las Tejas - Heredia

We stayed at Hotel Cariari for 3 nights as part of our Globus Tour package. Breakfasts were included. The tamales were amazing, and you can get eggs made to order. Lots of fresh fruit, pastries, pinto gallo, packaged yogurt, cereals, breads and juices. We also had appies and dinner on our first night. It was okay. Just a couple blocks away is a Chinese restaurant, pizza place, and healthy Juice and Sip cafe that would be better options. We tried the tagliatelle with chicken parmigiana not bad but not amazing either.

We enjoyed a fairly traditional turkey dinner with a few Costa Rican twists. Very delicious and Carmen took good care of us.

We stayed here for over almost two weeks and the food was great everyday. Their minestrone soup was tasty. The ceviche was fresh! The Wednesday buffet was awesome with so many choices. I enjoyed the salmon and steak. And most of all, our server and bartender Heriberto was so awesome (attentive, great conversation, and a great person)

Good food and friendly staff! They offer a good menu with alternatives for all tastes. Decided to review this place after my 3rd great experience here. Food is carefully prepared, fresh and tasty. Good variety of well prepared simple food. If you need a certain alternative without taking risks, it is a great place!

Great food! We had a little problem with the waffle maker. Service was great and got it fixed! Highly recommended!
