Baja Sharkeez - Hermosa Beach

After Sharkees burned down, I thought they were done, but they came back bigger and better! Instead of a closed attic, they now have rooftop seating! The food and drinks are always good, and it’s a classic restaurant when visiting Hermosa Beach!

There are many other great spots in the same neighborhood I’d recommend before this place. But it is worth a try. They have an extensive menu which can be good or bad… The apps we ordered were slightly above average in taste; nothing really special about them to highlight. They did get our order wrong, but that wasn’t a huge deal (ordered grilled not fried). The bigger problem was how slow the wait staff was long wait times for menus and drinks… we were drinking beer so nothing that required muddling that may have led to long wait times. From the looks of it bellying up at the bar seemed like the better and faster route. Also no itemized receipt with the bill, I know that can bug people again not a deal breaker for me. Lastly, the atmosphere is solid with a great selection of TVs for sports, it’s not too loud, lots of seating, and it’s comfortable… which helped because of the slow service.

Fantastic location with the option of outdoor booths or indoor seating. There are numerous TVs showcasing a variety of sports, from surfing to professional games. The atmosphere is lively, with a fun crowd. The Mexican food and drinks are excellent, making it a perfect spot for groups.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! It has a lovely atmosphere close to the beach, offering delicious food and drinks, along with fantastic happy hour deals. The service is also excellent.

This place feels more like a bar than a restaurant. It's fantastic for watching a game, and the bar food is reliably good. They do offer complimentary chips and salsa, which is a nice touch. My only complaint is that they only sell 32 oz beers until 7 PM, so waiting for a refill with the limited bar staff can be frustrating. When I inquired about the reason, I was told it was just their policy, without any clarification on whether it was a local law.
