Overall, it's a wonderful place with a European vibe that truly captures the essence of European living. I enjoy lingering after our walk to have a drink on their lovely terrace. The staff and patrons are very friendly, making it a welcoming atmosphere. I love this place! While I haven't eaten there yet, I've noticed people coming in with brown bags full of what appears to be delicious meals, and I'm convinced that the food must be fantastic.
The new Green Store is fantastic! My family is a huge fan. The sandwiches are the best, and the new outdoor terrace is the ideal spot to enjoy lunch by the beach! The new owner, Lanah, is incredibly friendly, and my family adores her! I hope I spelled her name right! Thank you! – Kevin, Lisa, Kenny, and Kate!
There are some saints in this world and Lana from the Green Store is one of them. My wife, sister-in-law, and I went to the beach today. We had a wonderful time until we lost the car keys. Luckily, our wonderful friend Kimberly Salinas was able to get my wife and sister-in-law to get the replacement keys. Thank you, Kim! That made me wait in the car until they came back. When the hour later came, the weather became colder. This lady who knew we lost our keys invited me to sit and wait in her store (even if she was closed). When I tried to buy something to eat, she refused to take my money. She said my night was long enough and everything I pulled out was on her. Then she gave me her iPad and said I could choose everything to hear and make me home. Thank you. Lana, for the absolutely best customer service and generosity!
My mother lived in Hermosa Beach, on Monterey Blvd and we would always go to the beach at the foot of the hill. Our beach days always included a stop in at the Green Store. This was in the 50's and 60's. Those times and that store are included in our fondest memories of that wonderful era.
