Flautlan - HERÓICA PUEBLA DE ZARAGOZA

I was looking for something lighter and Flautlan fit the bill. Two vegetarian flautas (vegeteriano with queso and crema and primavera with tamarind drizzle) plus a cucumber lime water for under $3! Think of these as really good Mexican eggrolls. Crisply fried but not at all greasy.Service is prompt and friendly. Restaurant is clean.

Located just 2 blocks from the Zocalo, it's within easy walking distance when you want a change from the moles and want some plain Mexican food. Flautlan serves basically... well, flautas. All kinds, more than a dozen different fillings, singly, or in paquetas. Side dishes, rice, frijoles, etc, are available, as are some tostadas. Just go for the flautas. Agua fresca (chico is large enough) and traditional desserts make a complete delicious meal.
