La Casita Poblana

Clean, bright, fun restaurant that is suitable to meet with family, friends or even for business. Had the mole of Enchiladas and they were very good. Service was attentive, but the staff could have been friendly (more smiles would help). Looks like a safe choice if you are looking for a nice restaurant in this area.

For me, both for food and for hospitality, this is my standard in Puebla for what I think is the best Chile en nogada and Mol Poblano. Now there are so many excellent restaurant choices in Puebla. They would be hard pressed to have a bad meal everywhere. But this is the restaurant I always make sure that I visit at least twice there.

Just here while you stay in Puebla to study Spanish. Place looked inviting and there were families eating Sunday Comida. The food I ordered, fried steak with peppers and onions was served with rice, friijoles and a chicken enchilada with a really delicious mole: not too spicy or sweet. The staff was very attentive and patient with my Spanish. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. Will come back.

We went to Casita Poblana last week and was surprised to see the play area for children, it was like a nightmare, they use copper wired cables to fix the protective game, all games are rusty and pealing out. A great danger! There is no way I can let my 2 Yras old play on this field. If this is so, they keep the play area that is open to everyone.. I can only imagine how the kitchen and the food look inside, no one can see. Stay away from this restaurant

We went there based on the recommendation of my wife 's uncle... and I can confidently say that it 's the best mole poblano I have ever tasted smooth, with a spicy but not hot taste... My wife (she 's mexican) had the pipian, which was also outstanding. Only downside might be that it 's several blocks south of the zocalo but it 's well worth the detour and the 20 pesos for the taxi ride... They told us they had just won the city 's contest for best mole while I can 't confirm that piece of information, at the very least they should make the finals!! We spent around 250 MEX in all (around USD 10 pp).
