Pipavido Pizza U. Pasta Pizzeria

I had takeout pizza and while I was waiting an espresso. It is a cosy little place and was packed with people. Service was ok and the pizza made in a stone oven was good, not spectacular.

I'm in this area of Aachen from time to time for shopping. Once I ended up in a disgusting kebab place not so far away and the other times in McDo just a few meters away (survival game). Last time I discovered Nido and it was a really pleasant surprise. We had really good bruschetta and pizzas, service fast and pleasant. Bill was certainly not high for what we got and I consider this place as a good option for a quick decent although inexpensive lunch.

Usually this place is ok. But, unfortunately, sometimes the experience here is really bad. This was the case in our last visit. The waiters made several mistakes, which wouldn’t be a problem, if they correct them, which they did not. But instead the waiter started arguing why I didn’t like my pizza, although I did not even complain. The worst part was, that he tells us (in German). “Paprikaschoten sind immer eingelegt” this is total bogus, and the waiter should get 1. a dictionary, 2. learn some manners. This guy ruined my moms birthday. Thanks a lot.

Visited for lunch and I had a chicken and mango salad from the specials menu. Portions were huge! My salad was nice but perhaps not as healthy or light as I was aiming for. My colleagues had either pizzas or pasta and all other dishes looked delicious. Care was taken over presentation, and we finished with lovely coffee. There should be something for everyone on the extensive menu.

No nonsense Pizza diner with great Pizzas, especially if you choose some of the more high quality toppings such as buffalo Mozzarella, spicy Sausage imported form Calabresia, and Parma ham- you can't go wrong! If you're fussy about your pizza being fatty or moist, let them know, and they can fine tune the toppingy. The only step missing to pizza perfection is a wood fired oven. Service isn't the most friendliest, per se, but on the other hand, I can't really fault them. Pasta was OK- some dishes good, some average. For Aachen standards, this is a great place! Definitely would recommend a visit.
