They offer great service, quick deliveries, and their food is delicious and fast. I would give them 5 stars. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming and top-notch dining experience.
We were welcomed and attended to by a friendly and polite woman with a lovely smile in a cozy, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with the best coffee in town. Plus, our cockapoo Ollie was warmly received. Thank you.
I highly recommend this restaurant not only for its spacious layout, but also for its incredibly friendly staff. The coffee is top-notch and the tea cakes are delicious. The paninis and toasties are fantastic. I am a regular customer and I cannot recommend this place enough.
Our experience at The Moat was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we were directed to only sit in the bar or garden, despite seeing empty tables in the restaurant. The table we chose in the bar had not been cleared, with dirty glasses and used sauce packets left behind. After requesting for it to be cleaned, the waitress begrudgingly took care of it, likely due to understaffing. The food was underwhelming, with the burger lacking the promised brioche bun and the chips being hard and cold. My blue cheese dip tasted overwhelmingly of garlic, and my steak was tough. Despite these issues, no one checked on us during the meal. Overall, we did not enjoy our experience and do not plan on returning.
This restaurant experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, we waited 10 minutes in the moat before a rather unfriendly woman (who we assumed was the manager) informed us that we could only sit at a table in the bar or garden, despite there being empty tables in the restaurant. We were asked to grab our menus from the side and chose a table in the bar. The table had not been cleared, with dirty glasses and used sauce packets still on it. I had to ask the woman when it would be cleaned while my partner went to order food at the bar. The response was curt, and she eventually cleaned the table herself. It seemed like they were short-staffed and that may have contributed to their bad mood. My partner suggested getting our own cutlery from a sideboard, but there were none available, so my daughter had to take some from set tables in the restaurant area. The food was subpar - the burger was meant to come in a brioche bun, but it was a regular burger and the chips were hard and not very hot. I ordered a blue cheese dip with my steak, but it lacked flavor and actually turned out to be garlic sauce instead. The waitress apologized and took it back to the kitchen, only to return insisting that it was the correct sauce, as blue cheese sauce supposedly contains garlic. My steak was tough, and I still believe the sauce was wrong, but we went ahead and ate our meal. The overall experience was not great, and no one came to check on us during the meal. My partner had to pay at the counter before we left. We won't be returning as we found the experience unpleasant and inconvenient.
