Jackpot! I think I found the cheapest Cuban bakery in Hialeah. For $11.00, I got: -4 guava and cheese pastries; -1 chicken empanada; -10 ham croquetas. And before someone asks as much as a fat I can be, it wasn't all for me. I took the goodies to share with some of my family living nearby. Note a few things about this bakery. The first is, you need a minimum of $10 to use a card to bring money. Also parking is small and so is the bakery. They will never see Croquetas in front because they tend to make them fresh. You're delicious! Get her. Take the flan. Probably the best in Hialeah. I think it's $7 for a whole flan. English does not exist here. Also seats. I think there are at most two chairs. Pick up and go essentially. Love this joint, but they can use some improvements. Mostly the use of a ticket system. It is always packed in Casablanca.
When I was born and raised in East Hialeah, I was blessed with a wide selection of bakers. The Cuban bakeries are amazing. The candy is to die, the bread is to kill, and the croquets... well they are heavenly. Casablanca Bakery was when I lived in Hialeah, one of my two went to bakeries to buy from and was the next to my home... only blocks away. I've been eating from there for over 30 years. I have so many childhood memories of me to play in Babcock Park and get a snack from here or just be over the street or go to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church on the street and after being taken by my parents to eat some croquettes... I could go on, but I'll always remember this place. Since I have been shopping in Hialeah, and I needed a serious snack to keep me informed when I was not there in two years before my move to Homestead. Nothing had changed. The same employees who recognized me, the same great service, the same amazing food and of course the Cafe Con Leche, Cuban Toast and Croquettes were amazing as always. Honestly, I wish this place could be transplanted near my new home in Homestead. If you are in Hialeah and want to have some serious good Cuban bakery, stop by.
After I went to this bakery for over 30 years and visited many others, I realize how wonderful they really are. From Cuban pastries to breakfast to sandwiches, coffee, cakes, ice cream... my favourite is the Cantinpalo and Cappuccino pastries. It is small and juicy, but food is excellent.
This place sucks I use to come here daily to drink coffee buy cakes, bread everything under the sun I will never go back this is the 3rd time a blonde tall girl that works there gives me a horrible attitude. When I asked for a specific cake one of the nicer co workers went to ask Someome if they had or could make the cake and the blonde lady came out storming to give me an attitude and say they didn't have the cake and that I should take another cake which she wanted to force on me this happened 06/17/2017 as of today will never go back and will tell my family the same theirs plenty of bakeries in the area and the first one I showed up to said they would happily make the cake for me for my nephew they were happy to take my hundred dollars I spent in total. This business will close with employees like this one.
