The service was great when we arrived, but the staff was overwhelmed later when the restaurant was full at 1:30 and we had to wait a considerable time for naan and water, etc. The line on the buffet was huge. Make sure you get there early for a good experience.
I went to this place with a couple of friends to a weekend buffet . I am a big food foodie and I absolutely enjoyed eating in this restaurant . The ambience was also decent and the place was neat . I felt the price of the buffet was also very reasonable and quality and the variety of the food was also was great . There are a quite a few Indian restaurants in Hicksville , but I feel Sakoon is highly underrated and by far one of the best Indian restaurants here. I would highly recommend people to visit this place if you are looking to indulge in some delicious North Indian cuisine .
Not bad Indian food. Went there for dinner and they put papadam out for the table. Chicken tikka masala was okay but the tandoori chicken was a little dry. Nan was a little bit soggy, but okay. Service was excellent; friendly staff made sure everything was good. Not sure if there are other Indian places nearby, but if you're in the area during the lunch buffet, I could recommend it. Won't blow you away, though.
This Indian restaurant is truly amazing. I was served the largest chicken I have ever had. The ambience may not be five-star, but the food is the best Indian cuisine I have ever tasted. The service was more on par with a four-star establishment. What sets this place apart is the owner coming by just 30 seconds after the main course to ensure everything was satisfactory. It has an elegant and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of being invited to a special dinner at the owner's home. The authentic Indian cuisine, prepared by the entire family, is warm, welcoming, and simply amazing in every way.
This restaurant now goes by a new name, Indian Food. Whether you've been here before or are trying it for the first time, the food is always top-notch. The new owner has added some new items to the lunch buffet, making it even better. This is one of the best Indian food options in Hicksville. I highly recommend trying it out, especially since it's very affordable at just $9.99.
