Sonic Drive-in - Hico

In Texas there are at least two staple appetizers: fried pickles and jalapeno poppers! I can't give Sonic 5 stars since they do not yet make fried pickles. If you like Chicken Express' jalapeno poppers you obviously haven't tried them at Sonic! Here they are always crisped to perfection and they are delectable with ranch dressing. Though you should definitely give them time to cool off if they are super fresh. I have burned myself plenty of times because I have no self control. As soon as I smell them I realize that if I were to die from jalapeno popper scalding, it would be one of the best ways to go.... They are just that amazing! ? On a different note: the staff is way more focused and happy than they used to be. My order has hardly been wrong of late and the food comes out really quick unless I'm starving to death that day. I only have one other complaint to add with the fried pickles above: Where did my French vanilla Java Shakes with extra Expresso go?!!!! You just can't mess with people's coffee. It's sacrilegious! Come on Sonic!!! Give me the ability to give you 5 stars!!!

The Sonic in Hico is the Best. I LIVE in Hamilton but will dive the 25 miles to Hico to eat, because the one in Hamilton is BAD.

My wife and I arrived 10 minutes before closing and we were unsure if they would take our order. They not only took our order, they made fresh coffee for me. Our entire order was correct and fresh. Doug, our car hop, was exceptional with his customer service. In fact, he provided the best service I have ever gotten at a Sonic.

Ordered at 7:07. Got my food the first time in typical time. Ate everything, but the burger. Then got to the burger and it was a single instead of a double. Lady came out and took it back and apologized. 10 minutes later I call in asking about my burger. The lady went on break and did not pass on to bring it out. 2nd attempt at my burger they did not care about the recipe or how I asked for my burger. So burger had pickles, one slice of cheese, and just enough mayo for a bite. New recipe is ketchup as well right? Took me another 5 minutes to get sauces. Finally able to eat my burger at 7:53. You want my receipt? Well luckily I order online. No receipts were given to me at all.
