Feedback gevenThis is definitely the top place to dine in High River. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are exceptional. I highly recommend it!
The steak we ordered was cooked perfectly but could have used a bit more seasoning. The potatoes were creatively shaped like mushrooms but were slightly undercooked, and the asparagus was a bit cold although nicely prepared. When we mentioned the undercooked potatoes, the staff assured us that the chef would be informed. For dessert, we tried the Rhubarb cobbler and it was excellent. I will definitely return when in the area, possibly for lunch.
The staff is friendly and the food is good. The restaurant offers some classic clubhouse dishes, but specializes in delicious steakhouse fare.
There were 13 of us for dinner. The service was top notch, the food was all delicious. Not a single plate had a crumb left. Prices are reasonable. We will be back.
Golfed here yesterday and the window to the halfway house was closed so I went into the restaurant and asked for a Hot dog. Regular golfers know the hot dogs at the turn are typically something to look forward to. Nice fixings like sauerkraut, onions, etc. Not here, not even dogs on display, the server disappeared into the kitchen and come out with a grey piece of meat wrapped in hot dog foil and the bun was glued to the grey dog! Soooo underwhelming using my packet of ketchup and mustard and zero fixings to help improve the experience. Very disappointing, come on Highwood your hot dog for $5.25 is easily bested by the $1.00 dog at Ikea !! Do not recommend especially for $5!
