Nice cafe, reasonable menu choices. Excellent coffee. Bit pricey in my opinion but where isn't these days. Lovely building. Local shop next door excellent. Cafe Staff seemed anxious to move customers on and ask them to leave if they stayed for over an hour. Overheard a member of staff ask one customer if they intended to stay for lunch. Despite apparently confirming they did intend to stay for lunch, they were later asked to leave or sit outside to free up the table inside. The customer had a baby with her too which made it seem harsh. There wasn't even a shortage of free tables. Would probably return if they are happy to welcome customers not wanting a huge order!
We visited for a midweek lunch whilst on holiday. It was the nicest burger I’ve had for a long time! The Cullen skink was also lovely. Great service, lovely drinks and the cakes looked great too. All in a lovely setting. So good we went back another day during our stay. Highly recommend!
Recommended by the locals, which is always a good sign, we chose from the Brunch menu, Cullen Skink and Eggs Benedict. Everything is cooked from scratch, so expect to wait a little while for your food. You won't be disappointed. It is advisable to book and to check the opening times this applies to most establishments on the islands these days as it is proving difficult to find enough staff to run businesses efficiently. An Crubh is serving the community and tourism on Skye, with its shop and café, community hall and post office, plus there is an excellent Motorhome facility on site.
Headed for a quick bite to eat. Arrived at 2.45pm, was given menues, waited for 20 mins and when waiter came over was told kitchen was closed. Notice says food served til 3pm. Disappointed! There was only very stodgy chocolate slices to choose from which didn’t make up for no lunch.
