Codfather - Highland

I went to Max2 today and ordered the Max2 special burger. When I received my food, the meat was overcooked and dry, tasting like rubber. When I complained, they said it was freshly cooked and showed me pre-cooked burgers in a book, claiming they only heat them up to order. I have been a customer for years, but I will not be returning. You have lost a regular customer.

I ordered a black pudding supper expecting Stornoway black pudding but was disappointed to find it was not authentic. The black pudding was over spiced, dry, and tasted artificial. I was not impressed and felt deceived by the false advertising. The chips were decent though.

I ordered a lamb doner and was disappointed. The bread was dry and the lamb didn't taste right. It seemed like the food was just thrown together carelessly in a container, with sauce covering everything. This restaurant is a complete disappointment.

We stopped by this little shop to get takeaway for a family of 6. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us navigate some food allergies. The food was fresh and large portions. We had 3 of the large haddock dinners, fried sausage and chicken goujon. It was all prepared fresh and was still piping hot when we got back to our home.

Waited 3 hours and still not delivered. Wouldn't order again nor recommend to anyone. Phoned to check on delivery and was assured it was on the way. Bah
