Coffee Affair - Highland

Terrible experience. I had coffee and didn’t complete an 45 mins when someone came and wanted to kick me out. I was on my laptop and he told me you cant use it inside as per policy (which I didn’t know about)so i respected that and closed the laptop. But then he told me you have few minutes to get out or else i will get the security to get you out of here. So rude and ill mannered. Horrible experience. Never going again.

Asked for filled rolls. They had no rolls and although buttering bread in front of us, unable to give us a hit filled sandwich as they were not ‘trained’. Absolutely unreal that a fried egg and bacon could not be put on buttered bread. Worse Harry gows across the road if they needed rolls Left immediately as not interested in helping customer or in getting money

We went for a morning coffee and were impressed by the freshness of the food on display. We decided to go back for tea and cake in the afternoon. The Toffee, Caramel cake was irresistible. The sponge was light , cream fresh and topping lovely. Returned the next morning for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. All the staff were friendly and made us welcome.

Oh where do I start? Firstly the cafe is beautiful, secondly staff -amazing and very helpful always smiling. Food? Well i never could decide what to eat , there was so many options either for breakfast , lunch or cakes ! All sandwiches , paninis, toasties etc served with delicious slaw, side salad and crisps. Soups are always delicious. Coffee is excellent and staff always does their best to make sure customer is feeling taken care of. If you dont know what Coffee you want they go out their way to help you with choice ask what you normally drink etc) . Place is very clean and welcoming , love going there for a quick Coffee or lunch . Deffo will be back soon !!!!

I had coffee in the morning around 10am and ordered soup and sandwich after an hour 11am. I was kicked out of the restaurant around 12.30 by the owner saying that i couldn’t stay for over 2 hours. I was reasoning that i ordered something else for lunch. and he said it’s still unreasonable. and even if i get out and buy something else to be able to stay he would NOT serve me. just because I was reading a book. i mean, what else would i do? i’m traveling solo. i was explaining that i was ordering different things throughout the day. the restaurant is not even 1/4 occupied
