Demon Cafe Takeaway - Highland

I went to this restaurant with high hopes of enjoying a bacon roll and a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness from the young lady behind the counter. She seemed more interested in chatting with her friend than serving me, the customer. When I tried to engage with her, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Because of this poor service, I have decided not to return and will instead visit the nearby cafes that prioritize customer satisfaction. It's important for businesses to value and care for their customers in order to thrive.

I have never experienced such awful service before! The staff were so rude, disrespectful, and inattentive. They were having conversations instead of listening to our order, resulting in us having to repeat ourselves multiple times, only for it to still be incorrect. The cutlery was dirty, the food was not cooked as requested (bacon looked like it was straight out of the package), and the tea was terrible - they added half a pint of milk when I specifically asked for a stronger brew. Whenever we tried to communicate with the staff, they ignored us and made a fuss when we had to repeat ourselves. As someone who works in the service industry, I know that if I provided such poor service, I would not have a job. If I could go back in time, I would advise myself not to take my mother there for breakfast.

The staff at this restaurant seem disorganized and slow, lacking communication and understanding of their roles. Even ordering a simple sandwich takes a long time, and despite visiting twice, they have managed to get my order wrong both times, both times being a chicken salad sandwich. It is quite frustrating and unprofessional.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this small cafe. My mum and I stopped by while in town yesterday, after visiting some nearby shops. We ordered a tuna cheese panini with chips, and a macaroni dish that came with chips and a salad. Both dishes were delicious and I would highly recommend them. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the service was friendly.

I visited this restaurant with my young son. I ordered the soup, which was delicious, and the sandwich, which was lovely. My child had the macaroni and said it was the best ever. We will definitely return. The service was impeccable, with a smile. Five stars.
