Colasanti's Produce Plants - Highland

I have been coming here for decades but the past few years the produce quality has declined and the prices throughout the store are too high for the quality. Today I saw a quarter of a watermelon priced at $8! No way. I do like the meat market which makes it worth the trip

If you're looking for a fun weekend destination to grab some fresh foods with the family, this is the place! My kids absolutely adore this amazing market, from the ceiling train, the parrots, the old school bins of candy, the ability to grab a bag of feed for the birds outside, to the wonderful deli and bakery, it really is the best place around. Prices are a bit elevated but I will gladly pay extra to keep places like this alive. Staff is friendly, welcoming and it seems to gather the best people in town- you never see anyone here in a foul mood. Just great energy all around. I do wish they could offer more in their greenhouse, but I am picky and their selection is still great.

So apparently if your under 40 you can't purchase alcohol for yourself if you have your child with you???? Wtf... guess no alcohol for you if you bring your child shopping with you!

Maybe a manager should 've been approached for the following complaint, but since I am moving out of state and won 't buy here ever again, a review seemed like a cherry on top of the Sunday. (No Pun Intended) If todays employee 's way of helping customers is by telling them I don 't know what you want me to do about it towards counting change, than my friends, family members and anyone who believes in being treated fairly should stop buying here, ever. Though the products are some of the best, unfortunately the experience was the worst today. Hopefully, this employee is either new to customer service or it is their first job. Lastly, this review is 0 stars, but Yelp wont allow it.

Lovvvvve Colasanti's!! My family started going here in the late 90s, and I haven't been in since I moved out of state nearly 20 years ago. I was so glad to drive by and see that they're still there, and that they made it through covid! Great service, excellent food choices, and wonderful homemade dishes to go!! Check this gem out--truly an oasis in a food-desert.
