Tai Pan - Hillingdon

Went to this restaurant with family and kids. The staff were really moody…no smile no engagement…management should train staff as they are in the hospitality business and it ruins the entire experience if the service whilst good is not given with a smile. Felt like they were not happy to serve us… The food was ok but I guess with the environment being the way it was the entire experience of going out to celebrate a special event was subdued. Felt we couldn’t enjoy the moment without scorns from the staff. Not a place I would recommend for a big party and especially if you are celebrating a special event!

Off the cuff visit, local ish to where we live. Usual rushed courses. Keen to turn tables. No real customer service or welcome. £15 for Veg Duck!!! Steamed rice tasted like cardboard Probably not the worst Chinese I have been to but nothing to make us want to return! Male server did not even utter a thank you when paying bill!

Visited tai pan today after many years. This was a northwood classic and I was pleased to see it is still going strong. Highly recommend the cashew nut chicken with yellow bean sauce.

We’ve been going to this restaurant for 15 years and never had a bad experience. The food is extremely tasty , always piping hot decent portions. We visit at least twice a month have also celebrated special occasions with family here. The staff very welcoming attentive. We definitely call this our go to restaurant as never disappoints. Lovely restaurant with warm welcoming decor. Highly recommend

The staff are not friendly. Our food was very below average. The vegetable pad Thai contained no vegetables, the chilli beef had the thinnest strand of meat covered by a large amount of batter. I was so disappointed because I have been about a year ago and had a terrific meal. I won’t be returning.
