My partner and I were looking for a place to eat near our hotel, The Premier Inn LHR Terminal 5, on a Saturday night. We were thrilled to find the Five Bells just a 15-minute walk away. This hidden gem was exactly what we were looking for: charming, cozy, affordable, and with delicious food and exceptional service. The staff were welcoming and friendly when we arrived. Although the beer garden outside looked lovely, we decided to dine indoors due to people smoking outside. The dining room provided the quintessential English pub experience we were after. I ordered a pie with the option of chips or mash, but it arrived with mash instead of chips. I mentioned this to our waitress Abi, who was very apologetic and helpful. She quickly rectified the situation with the chef Steve and another staff member Lee, who arranged for a side of chips to be made for me. The staff's kindness and efficiency were impressive. My partner enjoyed the fish and chips, and both of our meals were delicious and reasonably priced. We left with a positive impression of the town and its people, grateful to have discovered The Five Bells. If we lived nearby, we would certainly make it a regular dining spot. Many thanks to Abi, Lee, and Steve for their outstanding service and for making our pub experience so memorable.
I have visited the 5 Bells pub multiple times and have always enjoyed the food. However, during a recent visit on a Monday with friends, I was disappointed. The Chilli Con Carne lacked flavor and the tortilla chips were greasy. Despite being the only customers in the pub, the service was not rushed. I am not a picky eater nor am I looking for a free meal. This feedback is meant to be constructive, in hopes that it will be taken into consideration.
A gem of a village pub. A stones throw from Heathrow Airport yet quiet and relaxing location. Old world charm with modern facilities. Fully stocked bar, clean tables, WiFi lovely garden, friendly staff. Reasonably price, home cooked traditional pub fayre. Steak meal under a tenner, very fresh salads, great selection of jackets and baguettes. We will be back. Book a table, you won't be disappointed. British pub at its best
