Las Islas Marias - Hillsboro

This place is wonderful for seafood and Mexican cuisine. the grinding times are definitely for sharing and over the left. we were back at numerous places and enjoyed everything we tried. on Friday and Saturday it can be a bit loud, but it is fun!

11/14 we arrive at 11am and told us that they will be open at 11:30am. 11:30am came and told us they won't be open till 12:00pm. This place needs to decide what time they are really open.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants specially for seafood. The beverages are also excellent. They could use another waitress for better service but the food is worth the wait.

Reposted since my review was strangely removed First time customer never returning to this place. Worst decision ever to eat here!! 1st waitress that took our drink and food order would stand at the bar staring at us, chips were way over cooked pretty much burnt, at first thought that’s just the way they served the chips, nope as soon as other customers came in their chips where normal not so brown and dark. Ordered iced water and the glass was dirty one side of the glass had some kind of white residue on it, very disgusting, and it was room temp, no ice! Didn’t want to complain, got a vibe that they probably would do something to our food if we said something. My son ordered the mojarra frita dish the fish was extremely salty! Ordered the grilled shrimp with rice and salad, the shrimp was ok a little dry but the rice and cucumbers tasted like the smell of cleaning products, hubby ordered oysters dish, it was ok no issues. 2nd waitress seemed nice, she did mentioned they have their regulars and never seen us before, thought that was odd. I’ll never go back, food was gross for the price. If you’re not a regular don’t go here, go somewhere else.Do not recommend place!

Love this place! Great menu with beautiful photos. Lots of fish/shellfish options. Several dishes perfect for sharing. The mixed grill Fajaitas are filled with beef, chicken, shrimp and peppers and onions. Everything we ate and everything we saw passing by for our fellow diners to eat, looked fresh and Uber delicious. Worth a return visit! Maybe many return visits ?
