Spencer's Tavern - Hillsborough

Kid-friendliness: We had 2 happy grandchildren with us.

Quant little tavern located inside the historic Colonial Inn. The menu was extensive and I thoroughly enjoyed the local cocktails and draft beer variety. The food was certainly the highlight though, everything was incredible! Can't wait to come back and try something new.

My favorite place. Tasty food, kind attentive staff.Kid-friendliness: The children are made to feel just as important, age does not matter.

2nd visit. The food is good, the service is nice and well informed but communicates poorly. It 's a great chat and leisurely date but the kitchen is constantly in the weeds. If they 'd cure the bottleneck in order fulfillment the servers wouldn 't have to avoid eye contact and it 'd be a 'go to ' place for Hillsborough.Kid-friendliness: It 's not. It 's also not their thing.You can 't keep people waiting unaddressed at a table for 20 minutes then another 20 to order and 20 for the meal and be kid friendly.

A lovely old venue, newly renovated. Great service and delicious selections on the menu. The southern poutine appetizer is complimented with sweet pickled jalapeños very nice touch. The salmon and shrimp additions to our salads were exceptional.
