Excellent food prices in line with our screwd up economy. Very clean , did not mind the wait as the food is cooked to order which I prefer to microwaved warmed food at chains.
Went to The Seafood House after visiting the manatee viewing at the TECO plant. Although I lived in the Bay Area most of my life, I’d never been to this place and it came recommended by locals. It is an outdoor only set up, very nice and old Florida. The food was good, seafood quality, though, I found to be average. I had the Mix N Match and chose grouper and oysters. The grouper was tasty….but the oysters were tasteless. The fries were great, but the green beans side dish was just some frozen green beans in a cup. The waits were insane…up to 90 minutes. Too long, some people were leaving. Worthwhile to visit if you like fried foods, but as a native Floridian I like other options like steamed or boiled shrimp, etc. Also, they serve Basa, or swai, a fish from SE Asia, which is hardly fresh or local. I found it overly pricey for self serve, styrofoam plate and plastic silverware food. Given the overall cleanliness factor, however, it was the best option. Our meal for two was $50. My personal read on this place is its a bit of old Florida with new Florida prices and service. Unfortunately, we will not be back. Didn’t pass muster.
I had a very nice meal at the Fish House. I started with the fish spread and had the fried house fish for my meal. Eerything was fresh and the fish was cooked perfectly. I definitely will return!
Would not recommend! Horrible customer service. don’t waste your time or money.
