I think that Whole Foods is on the more expensive side so I choose to do my shopping at either the big box places to buy in bulk or Publix. Whole Foods is relatively close to me however not my go-to for groceries unless there's something specific I'm in the market for and they are the only place that has it. Overall the grocery store is organized and clean. There are salad buffets available and fresh food that you can order. They even have tables available in an outside area where you can dine. Staff is not very friendly in these areas, as when we were looking at the food, nobody really approached us to ask if we needed anything despite them standing behind the counter of where we were browsing. It's like you'd have to specifically ask for their assistance.
Today I thought I would try another attempt at Whole Foods. Last time I was here I was asked to go to my Amazon prime account input information to be able to get the discount pricing. Much as I really did not want to do this I feel like Amazon is tracking my purchases. But, I did to try to get past the purchasing of some items. Never realized how much BS you can go through. Today my telephone did not input into the computer. It is frusturating to realize that you are being questioned in front of other customers about your customer information how berated you can feel. Now I realize the difference between Publix and Whole Foods both pricey. But, what I also realize is Publix does not make me input more information. Sale prices are for all. Unfortunately, they did not have a resolution for my problem . I soon realized that their is a Sprouts, fresh market who are all sell the same type of food. Sometimes at better prices.
I can't believe I never reviewed Whole Foods Market. I love this store, but really what's not to LOVE about it?? I like the Carrollwood location much more than the S. Tampa one. I don't even know where to start... I like the service, the stuff, the location, the abundance of amazing healthy products( not everything here is healthy though), I like how the produce are so fresh like no other market in the area. The store is generally very clean. If you are an amazon customer you get additional discount on weekly sale items. If you have the Amazon credit card you get 5% back on what you spend. The stuff will let you try a product before buying which is a great plus. They offer ready made food from southern to Asian to salad bar. They have coffee and shake bar. the fish and meat department is amazing. Plenty of options to choose from and they have weekly specials. They carry wild, organic and grass fed meat/fish. Not everything is cheap here, but if you come often you might find that some items are actually cheaper when compared to other supermarkets. There are few items I like to purchase here- the curly kale, the oat milk and cream, the grass fed dairy products, the beyond beef meat and sausage, sometimes I buy special cheese on sale. If I could give it more stars, I would. There is literally nothing missing here. Can you tell I really like it?!
This place doesn’t feel like a café at all. The staff suggested that I purchase one of their bottled drinks, but all I really wanted was a simple black coffee, hot or iced—either would have been fine. They shouldn’t advertise themselves as a café if that’s not what they offer, as it leads customers to go out of their way for something they don’t actually have.
My experience today started off poorly with an incredibly rude woman in the bakery. She completely ignored me while I was waiting by the coffee bar until she had no choice but to ask if I needed help. When she finally assisted me, she seemed unhappy about it and had a terrible attitude—my boyfriend even noticed her unwelcoming demeanor. Then there was the $16 mac and cheese. They charge by the pound, and what I got was slathered in a thick, unappetizing sauce with very dry chicken. I later called the store to inquire about a refund, and the woman on the phone laughed and said no. Honestly, I regret giving them my money. I’ll be sticking to Trader Joe’s from now on.
