We waited over 30 minutes for our food after we ordered. Breakfast food. And when we got it, all of it was cold. It sat for a while before we got it. The sausage was cold in the middle, so it really sat for a while. I had French toast and they forgot the butter. I asked for some and it didnt even melt a little on my French toast. Butter didn't melt on the pancakes my husband had either. Such a shame. Original review: I'm saddened to leave a 1 star rating. This used to be my favorite place for breakfast. Locally owned, family atmosphere, friendly, quick service. Those were all the things I did love about it. The last few times I've been there, service has been mediocre at best. I've continued to go back because the food was good. Well, that was not the case this last time I was there. The service was extremely poor. We sat and waited over 10 minutes before getting to order, after getting our beverages. There was a large group that came in after us, ordered, ate, and left before us. I had to take my toddler for a walk while waiting for our food. We walked to the end of the street and back, and still had to wait for the food. When we got our food, my husband's food was cold, mine was warm (but that could be because I take care of getting the kids situated first), and I had asked for a small pancake for my toddler, and got one of your huge ones. My daughter wanted a sausage patty with her meal and did not get one. Our waitress checked on us one time, at the end of our visit. I am sad to say that I will not be back.
Cramped, relaxed, simple, friendly, local. Come for the food and stay for the college kids eating with their parents, the local families crammed into booths, the staff bustling back and forth, Don't be in a hurry, don't expect too much and you won't be let down. It's Hillsdale and it's awesome.
Good food at a very good price-I got a big pancake, two eggs, toast, and coffee for around $7. Get the cinnamon roll pancake! The service is always friendly too. Cash only, but there's an ATM at the front. Open all night Friday and Saturday. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Enjoyed a breakfast as a family. It was Mothers Day, so business was brisk, but they had a good staff going, so service was fine. Seated immediately, drinks on the table in good time, food ordered and delivered quickly. My daughter got the empire bowl, and I got the country breakfast; both were outstanding. My wife's and daughter's combos were also done right. Good coffee. Cost was normal. I'd recommend this place.
No complaints. They are open late on weekends so it is always handy for a late meal. No problems on the food or service. It can get noisy as its,a hang out for teens and college kids.
