Big little hole in the Chinese wall. Standard Chinese-American buffet, but usually fresh and always delicious. A favorite for my family at any time we want good food for a good price. Excellent service on drinks and they also have small individuals cups neoploitaneis.
I have read many reviews and wanted to explain some of the concerns, especially the 13% tax. This location, along with Shoneys, McDonald's, and Wendy's at exit 14 all fees state and city tax...combined state tax and county for this matter is 5.3% hot prepared food ads additional 8%. That's 13%.. Unbelievable, I agree. But that's why it looks weird when you look at Hillsville taxes and see only 5.3%. The food is amazing. If it's fresh. It's a buffet so if you really come late, it can't be at the top of freshness. Between 11-2 and 5-7 are the beat times to eat there. All I ordered is cooked to order, so this is a good way if you need to go later. We take and dine in at least 1/month and it is always great. Beijing Palace is a family business with people who make several jobs. The waitress id also hostess and cashier. Sometimes buses tables and fill the bar. They are also predominantly immigrants who have very different ideas of certain values and what is considered to be rude, polite or customer service. I don't make excuses Just explain why I can't annoy myself about some things. I see people working hard and trying their best. I can understand why some people don't like how they feel how they were treated. But every time we dive, she looks over my kids, chats with us, and we always leave full and happy with the meal.
We eat here often, but the last time we eat there, we sat in another dining room because it was Valentine's Day and the table was covered with a kind of film and I did not notice until halfway through the mail. Usually they are fairly clean, meals and bar are always pretty good.
