Hilo Ono Kine Ice Shave

What a delightful little ice cream shop! We sampled several varieties, and each one was delicious. The chocolate flavor won for best taste, while the lava flow truly stole the show. Overall, all the options were delightful. I was drawn to the more upscale razor ice cream (there are a few Kona shops that can be quite extravagant and pricey), but I found the prices here to be reasonable. The topping selection is fantastic, featuring ube (mashed purple sweet potato, if you're not familiar), various types of condensed milk, and fresh fruits. You can even create your own halo-halo, although it's not explicitly listed on the menu. I highly recommend this place—it's a perfect way to cool off after exploring the local market!

While shopping at the Hilo Farmers Market, we decided to give this place a try. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we absolutely loved the shaved ice! I wish I could find a spot like this in NYC! The coconut cream was a perfect 10/10!

We ordered the local specialties: the Flavors of Soursop and Lilikoi, which came with Haupia cream and a layer of Poi at the bottom. The dish was bursting with refreshing aromas. The other dessert we tried was the Big Island Love, featuring pieces of papaya with coconut and lime flavors, topped with a generous drizzle of condensed coconut milk. I absolutely loved it!

Great place to eat Hawaiian ice cream! We tried lava flow and it was great! The best part is the Haupia cream that comes on top. The texture of the shaved ice cream is smooth and easy to eat. Great service and must go for quick refreshment.

It's a very cute place. There was a line but moved relatively fast. I had the local which is soursop and lilikoi shave ice topped with haupia cream child's size. I'm glad I tried it once but I won't need to come back. It's expensive for what it offers. I think if you never had shaved iced before, you should try it here once!
