Cabritos Mexican - Hilton Head Island

This is a fantastic restaurant with an authentic vibe, although it can be a bit tricky to navigate on your first visit. Essentially, you order as many tacos as you’d like—I'd recommend at least three. They come with just the tortilla and meat. Your server will then bring a tray to your table filled with onions, cilantro, limes, pineapple, and various hot sauces so you can customize your tacos to your liking. I chose a burrito instead of tacos, and it was enormous and absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the price. I’m not sure about the cost of drinks since they’re not listed on the menu, but I paid $2 for a bottle of water (they don’t serve tap water). Also, note that they only accept cash.

The carnitas were incredible—truly some of the best Spanish food I've had in the Beaufort area of South Carolina. They serve it with onions and pineapple, along with special sauces on the side. It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this hidden gem!

The servers are friendly and understanding, but the wait time for food after placing an order is quite long—I had to wait nearly an hour for a simple meal. The food itself is decent, but nothing exceptional. Overall, I wouldn’t highly recommend this place for dining. Food rating: 3/5.

Total hole in the wall kind of place, but it was clean, the staff were very nice, and the food was authentic and delicious! Highly recommend eating here.

Love this place! We went there a couple times while we were in HHI it was so good. It is cash only so heads up on that and it is a little hard to find as there is no sign . but it is amazing!
