Steak undercooked cooked, had to send it back 3 times. Ended up only paying half the bill but still! Given the occasion I won’t be coming here again anytime soon. Very disappointed Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Very expensive and poorly presented. On arrival we slow to be greated, and offered a table with very little seating space. Another table was subsequently found, it became obvious that all the dinners were being directed to a rather crowded (cramed) area of the resteraunt. Other areas were comparitively empty ? Our joice of Chrismas fare, complete with Pud, was Ok, but pooly presented, I.E. all the food piled on the one plate, turkey on top, all the vegies buried underneath, What? Is this what you call M&C standards? In conclusion, other reteraunts in our area have higher standards of table service and food prestation, plus table cloths. M&C appears to be upmarket , but in fact, is very pretentious and expensive. A small bottle of non alcoholic Larger cost me £11.50 what sort of price hike Is that!!

Hadn't been here for a few years but the last time we had been was great so we tried again. We both fancied a fillet steak, upon arriving we were shown to our table, all OK, given menus, when we went to order we were told there were no plain fillet steaks, no 12oz sirloins and, another steak (can't remember which, ribeye? . We weren't told this when we booked in, why not. This is supposed to be a steak restaurant and the most popular steaks were sold out. We ended up with the 50 day old 10oz black Angus fillet mignon, £38.00, it was OK but nothing special,I would have preferred an. 8oz 30 day fillet. Which is what we went for. Just an aside, when you are paying 38 pounds for a steak is it necessary to charge 1 pound extra for chunky chips instead of normal ones?, penny pinching in a reasonably expensive place. Our meal was ok but the experience was not a patch on the last time and doesn't justify the prices they are charging.
