It's great fun to watch your pancake being made. Great grilled oysters, tasty pancake.
It's a dark, dingy floor with several okonomiyaki restaurants packed in. We chose the corner closest to the elevator. It was delicious, and the cook was very friendly, but the whole place needs a good scrub down.
Stopped by on my Japan trip since, you know, it 's Hiroshima and you have to eat okonomiyaki here. We chose Denkousekka 電光石火 , the popular one with the red banner; it wasn 't bad but it wasn 't amazing. My mom could do better, and she 's not your world class chef. It was only after I asked to have some sauce and mayo on the side that I first thought Mm! , which I think says something. The soba doesn 't have much flavor, and the meat is yummy because meat is yummy? Now, this isn 't their fault, but they were also so crowded that it took forever to get our food, much longer than I 'm used to in Japan. Honestly, please...take my advice and just go to a lonelier restaurant in the hiroba and make the chef 's day. Maybe they 're less well advertised but I 'm sure the ojisans will be happy and take good care of ya.
You come here for the famous local cuisine Okonomiyaki, crepe like pancakes that made fresh right in front of you. The ingredients are super fresh and local, the results are only to speak in your mouth... Excellent even by very high Japanese standards. Most stores owners/workers are young people and they can speak abit of English, they also have pictures English menu. Short walk from Hiroshima Train Station. Good beer too.
