Really like the vibe of this store and has huge range of products but sadly far too expensive compared to other stores
I came across this shop just when I needed it and it was a cute set up, although I didn’t check it out in detail. I bought some UV Natural sunscreen for about $37, which was a pretty typical price. The owner or manager was super friendly and helpful.
The number 1 grocery store for all things vegan in Tasmania! A MASSIVE range of products from all over the world. It legit has everything you need and if on the off chance it doesn't, never fear! The gorgeous owner Jackie will order it for you! No need to shop online from the US. You will always get the best customer service when you visit and you know it's the best cos the store is almost always packed with people shopping! You will not find another store even remotely like this in Tasmania! Staff is always super helpful with all the info you could need/want. All you gotta do is ask and Jackie will sort you out :D So grateful to have this awesome business here in Hobart, otherwise us tassie vegans would sorely miss out. Prices of products are completely reasonable. You would pay a lot more shopping online from mainland or overseas. I prefer to shop local to keep awesome businesses like this here! Thanks City Organics! You'll always have a loyal customer with me :
Friendly staff who are willing to talk to you. Usually can be give you advice. Sometimes you can be waiting in line for this reason though. But when the service is good its exceptional and when its bad it is dreadful. If you can not find something they will tell you where it is. Great range, but they do have a habit of discontinuing items. Items I was thinking of buying or used to buy in the past. This may have to with suppliers, yet it is annoying. Sometimes you can feel like your being treated like a thief because they come out asking you for what you are buying. They are more expensive than Eumarrah for certain items for example certain fruit and vegetables. I try to balance it out and buy items from both small businesses, buy what one does not have. The advice they give whether it is a deliberate lie or not is also annoying sometimes. The cancer rate is at half the population for instance. Half the body is made of bacteria. Whether this misinterpretation or misrepresentation of data or they have read that somewhere else it is annoying. It maybe unintentional but it potentially comes across as dishonesty. You know that they want you to buy something, but it is annoying. Otherwise it has an interesting array of products. A variety of fruit and vegetables. Family friendly and community orientated business. The business owner and boss is warm. Like many businesses these days it does not supply all that you want. I personally buy Green Tea from there for its antioxidants. Sage in a shaker jar, amongst other things. I would have difficulty finding these items if it shut down anywhere else.
