This charming little tea room is tucked away on a bustling street, run by a delightful husband-and-wife team who have created a wonderfully tranquil space. They blend most of their teas on-site to craft the perfect brew, while Ron experiments with new scone recipes. Their menu features all Tasmanian produce, and it was simply fantastic. The scones were incredibly light and fluffy, especially when paired with their homemade jams—it was truly delightful. The finger sandwiches were hearty and satisfying. The teas were expertly blended, though I found the French Earl Grey to be a bit on the lighter side for my preference. I highly recommend this place! A big thank you to Lilli and Ron for welcoming us to Hobart.

I enjoyed my first High Tea experience here last Saturday and was extremely impressed. The owners were very welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food and tea were delightful. There was a wide selection to choose from, and they have the best scones I've ever tasted! I highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. I also appreciate that it's a small family-run business, so it's not overcrowded or noisy.

We've visited Hobart Town Tea Rooms twice since their opening, and both times have been fantastic. The tea is exceptional; they serve the best authentic Chinese green tea in town, including Ri Zhao Green tea and jasmine loose leaf tea. The beautifully crafted tea sets and the vintage photographs of Hobart create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We particularly loved the traditional scones, which were wonderfully light and melted in our mouths. The matcha and date scones are a must-try—flavorful, healthy, and absolutely perfect! I highly recommend stopping by if you're taking a stroll through the city. It's in a great location and easy to find. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Hi tea served on gorgeous China! Delicious, the Spong cake was my favourite! Staff were very friendly. And a good price too!

Really friendly staff. Their high tea is really affordable and filling! So much delicious food and you get to tailor it to your tastes. You choose your sandwich filling, type of cake and pot of tea. Gorgeous crockery, extensive gift shop, lovely history and atmosphere. So welcoming!
