Feedback gevenRecently had breakfast at Marzbah and left feeling ripped off. We ordered a big breakfast with a large latte and scrambled eggs with additional mushrooms with a standard latte. Long wait for the coffees (2 x standard lattes delivered) and then a further wait for breakfast ( received a big breakfast and scrambled eggs with no mushrooms). Requested the mushrooms on a separate plate whilst we ate what we had received. Wife went to pay where we were charged for 2 additional servings of mushrooms; apparently the 'missing' mushrooms were placed on the big breakfast plate which were consumed in innocence but now required payment. Could have refused to pay as they were not ordered and we were never told that they were on the wrong plate; however paid the extra $3.90 but will never return. Will frequent other establishments where they place customer service as there number one priority. A sensible manager would have apologised for the two mistakes and not charged for the extra mushrooms ($3.90) which would have gone some way towards compensating for the slow service and mistakes. An establishment that has slipped considerably. Never again.
I use to come here quite often with my mother when I lived in Hobart, it hasn't really changed except the coffee is a lot better. Less blue rinsed hair old ladies too! I had the $15 special sweet potato cottage pie and side salad. It was good not amazing but I wasn't after a five star experience. It filled me up and even had a giggle at the portion control dressing. Staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Have visited this cafe on a regular basis for as long as I can remember (years and years). Went in for a coffee with friends at 11am. Was asked by 3 different staff members at 11.50 if we wanted food or another coffee, we politely said no. Two of us had been in there the day before for lunch. Just after 12 o'clock an Asian staff member came over and very rudely asked us to leave as she had "a line up" waiting for tables. I have never in all my times of eating anywhere in the world had someone be so abrupt and rude to customers! Everyone heard what she said. Get rid of your staff member, or give her some basic training on how to keep your customers coming back. I will not be back ever and will tell anyone I know of my experience.
We met a friend for coffee and at 12 o'clock we're asked to leave because at that stage we had not chosen to have lunch.Four staff members came to our table within about five minutes and asked if we wanted to order anything else. At that stage we hadn't decided on lunch. The fifth member of staff came to our table and asked us to leave!!!!! Please note she wasn't polite, in fact rather rude to which several people around us took note and commented to us as we left.In all my travels no cups of coffee around the world I have NEVER been treated with such disgusting service, what's more she didn't care nor offer any type of apology!!!!
This cafe doesn't offer water! It has a lot of complaints about this but refuse to do anything about it even refused my friend a glass of tap water.You have to pay $3-3.50 for bottled water and there salads are very poor they give you sachet dressing on the side not impressed
