The Lower House - Hobart

So lower house is basically now just a place where all the ex isobar clientele now go making it impossible to get it.You will expect to wait 45 mins in line, then you will barely be bale to move.Don't even expect to get a table outside as it is a mosh pit.Such a shame as this used to be a great place, don't bother unless you're 18 and a girl as most boys will get kicked out for not even being drunk also.

Incredibly rude bouncers, poor selection of alcohol, over-priced drinks; atmosphere of a nightclub but with no patrons even when the night gets going. Avoid.

This venue must be the worst in the world. I am a 50 year mature older person and yes that might seem old to some but I am a very law abiding community oriented citizen that loves a night out. Twice in the last 18 months whilst out with a group of friends I have not been allowed to enter this establishment. I cannot fathom as to why not as I haven't even had the opportunity to have an adult discussion with the clowns on the door, they have just told me you are too drunk to be allowed entry. I apologise that I have a limp because that is all I can put this appalling customer service down to, I am sorry that I cannot walk as a normal person to your entry point. I would recommend that anyone coning to Hobart for a good night out does not go to this bigoted and disabled unfriendly venue there are a lot of other professional and disabled accepting venues close by.

Utterly disgusting people (too bouncers on door) before i left, after the main situation a young foreigner was pushed out the door in a very inhumane way! she honestly was a real darl and i could make an EASY judgment that she was a threat to no one .... why this happened was a bit of clothing they did not like. aka hippy thongs.... I don't get why they let her in... then kick her out... why? its incredibly sad nether the less. Anyway the main situation was they took my drivers license away after a second return to the venue (apparently i was to drunk.... i was stone sober). asked for it back. The two bouncers on the door both kept lying and changing there story multiple times for why they took it in the first place. All i could do was listen to just bull@*%#, which was kind of funny and embarrassing. i honestly don't know why the hire these people. However it is fantastic watching these specimens in action! it's quite humerus that these people exist. i don't think they are sane people fit for the job they are doing however. Manged to talk to someone who respects people to a degree and i think my license will be returned. Quote of the night "No its not illegal to take away your property I'm security"

Just a really disappointing experience. do yourself a favor and don't even bother going, it's not worth your time.
