Had a couple of birthday gatherings here. Great playground and jumping castle near where you are eating with ocean views. That's where it stops menu is extensive in bistro but mostly deep fried food. Very cheap burgers and parmas are ok chefs are Chinese and should stick to Chinese cooking .
Altona Sports Club offers a great lunch and dinner, as well entertainment with a terrific view of Altona beach. Become a member, and reap the benefits of their supporters and sponsors. I recently purchased a Hyundai i30x from Werribee Hyundai, and feeling great about the terrific deal I received, all due to being an Altona Sports Club member.
We found the main courses at lunch very inexpensive ($12-18) and then we received a $2 each senior's discount on top of that. The table wine list was out of date for prices, but the prices were still quite cheap - $7 was an expensive glass of wine (prices are even cheaper for members). My friend's grilled salmon ($18) was delicious, but the white flesh suggested that it was actually Trout. My Chicken Schnitzel ($15) was good and used herbs in the tomato puree, although no parma ham was evident. It was certainly a favourite of older people.
Situated near the main shopping area in Altona, the Altona RSL offers a classic pub menu and bar with options for seniors, as well as daily specials.
