Backburner To Go - Hockessin

We went to a whim, without reservations, but they could see us. Order the New York Stripe Special and the Lamb followed by cream brulee. The food was excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked and the dessert was divine. Service was on the slow side, they seem to be short employees, unfortunately this seems to be the norm throughout these days. We will definitely return.

Had an excellent time last weekend, also with how busy they were, waiting was not as much longer than expected. All staff were super friendly, costs were fair, atmosphere was the perfect hit between imagination and casual. Can't believe I grew up in Hockessin and never knew these guys were here. Come on!

Yesterday, I had one of the best lunches of my life at the Back Burner. So many layers of flavor on a veggie burger! My friend loved her quiche and pumpkin mushroom soup. I wish that I lived closer!

My best culinary experience in Hockessin. Zero Review: 10 star service and perfectly prepared dishes. I was woven by pumpkin mushroom soup, wedge salad and lemon drop Martini.

Love, love, this restaurant. Had the pumpkin mushroom soup that sounds weird but excellent. I had the short rib for dinner and my wife had the grilled eggplant. The short rib was very delicate and tasty. The part was good too. My wife loved the grilled eggplant. Alcoholic drinks were very good. The service was a little slow. I think they were a little occupied.
