The waiting staff is attentive and knowledgeable about food preparation and beer selection. They offered several samples of different beers to try my wife and led her to the purfect pairing for her meal. The loaded Nacho appetizer is huge and NOT running the mill; it is really for four or more or you want to eat a box at home later. As you can say, my family found two stones to be two thumbs up! P.S. I cooked the salmon.
Close your eyes quickly and try to remember the biggest teas of your life. The boy/girl you like, but the timing never worked completely. The year the 76s traded for Andrew Bynum without knowing that his knees were made of cotton candy. This NFL Parlay card that started 14-for-14 before the Cleveland Browns got a hold of you (that was your fault. For me, the story of Two Stones Hockessin "in this sad basket of what ifs have fallen very easily. For more than a year before its later opening, Whispers had arrived at Lantana Square. Then return. New plans. Rumors of abandonment. Finally silence. Luckily, the fates turned and this little jewel has given us all a great opening to the Leap Day 2016. I remember because they're a beer called 'Hop Leap ', an excellent IPA (yes! that they won't make until the next leap year (boo! Thanks for that. I'm sure the next 1000 days will only be around... but I'm digressing. Two Stones Pub is my favorite bar in the area and it was for the last ten months. The beers are great, the food is solid (the rotating specialties are always unique and often delicious, the decor is pleasant, and the TVs work. But what really makes the difference here is the lifeblood of every restaurant: people. I will lie in your face without shame if I have ever asked to admit exactly how often I pulled a chair at the bar, but it is enough to say that it is enough to have seen the various iterations of the staff that makes their thing both hectic and dead on days. The bartenders and waiters are a wonderful, friendly and professional crew. You're patient. You are attentive. And their knowledge (and cheerful willingness to help in the selection of the constantly changing whirlwind of the seasons, Goses, Dubbels, Tripels, Quadrupeln (are there Quituples? if not, can we do that? Can we add a dubble to a triple? does that work? and what else comes down, the pike is creepy. The management team is top-notch and keeps everything running smoothly. And who is responsible for their social media presence deserves an award. How many restaurants do several daily postings updating the designs lists and details of the specials, with hot photos of this Lucky Me Burger or if Pigs Fly Sandwich you need to make the drool from your iPhone screen or close your office door because you now only bite a hive? Too much? I'm sorry. The point is while the first Two Stones (Newark was once far before the curve on the craft beer scene, the years are over and your options are now always growing at this golden age of malt and hops. But I would still recommend Two Stones Pub *first* for anyone who has a variety of interesting and diverse craft beers and a good meal to go with them. And I would do that because behind the crispy ales, creamy stouts, decadent dirty boiler chips and hidden Taco Tuesdays is a solid, smiling crew that will know their **** and take care of you whether you are a wandering Newbie or a degenerated rule like me. You, more than anything else, are the gems that make two stones shine. So think you're a Bellcracker or a White Wit. Have a sequence of sweet heat wings or share the amazing cheese plate with someone else hungry. Follow them on Facebook and stay at the best of daily specials and sporadic events. It's worth it. And if you come to lunch on a weekday, you can simply see an exceptionally good looking man sitting in his early 30s at the end of the bar, care for a cup and grumbling for yourself that vegan chili should NOT be on the menu instead of the other delicious chili because if you are a vegan, sorry, you will not get chili anymore! Right? Right? Just ignore him. Cheers!
The top of the line food and beer joint, from the hook food with awesome people working there. Always a great time when I go.
Food was absolutely top notch!! The truffle friars are to die for!!! Service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend this food to everyone.
Great beer selection, good athmosphere, only question is: why did you change the queso on your pub nachos? It used to be the best by far, now it's just average.
