The rating of this place may seem wrong, but it's not. Upon entering, we found ourselves navigating through a narrow walkway crowded with people on both sides. The regulars and locals stayed in the bar, making it difficult for new customers to get noticed. The bartender seemed preoccupied and barely served anyone. When I and my friend tried to get his attention, he made a rude racial comment and showed little interest in serving us. We ultimately decided to leave and the only money we spent was at their ATM. Thankful for that.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Despite hearing negative reviews about the owner, my experience with him was fantastic. I had organized a bachelor party with a guitarist scheduled to perform at the bar, but there was a mix-up with the date. I was frantic, but Bob went above and beyond to help me calm down and even found a replacement guitarist for us. I am grateful for his outstanding service. The owner is wonderful, and the restaurant has a lively, hometown atmosphere.
Being a person from a smaller town. This place gives me a feeling of being home. All cash with beer pong. A back deck and a little deck charge $1) the day I left. Drinks are great. Will be a little hot, but overall, what I would look for in a late night bar.
We ended up going to this place because it was the only place open late in downtown Holland.
