In town on business and stopped in based on the Google reviews. If you want fancy and foo foo, this is not the place for you. Simply a down to earth spot with GREAT food, good service and down to earth people. The burger called The Major was probably the best burger I 've ever had and the fries were just as good. My wife had the shrimp and grits which was very good. As we were eating Major, the owner, came to our table to see if we liked our meals. I was surprised to see that we he came with a complementary slice of what he called the Candy! I was the French Toast from the menu. I 'm a sucker for good French Toast and it was absolutely amazing! It was so good that my wife and I went back the very next day for Sunday Brunch. Yes, I ordered the French toast. Once again it was not only fantastic, but also very fun, with the old school R&B music playing. We will definitely be back when we are in the Portsmouth area. Major...I salute you!!!
Love this place, one of my favourite places to eat in Cork! Gorgeous burgers, great menu and really lovely staff.
Ate in Gourmet burger Cork last night so disappointing burger was dry and tasteless made staff aware and she'd make chef aware of it but never came back. When she collected the bill I again mentioned it and she said she had said it to the chef and it was because they were very busy needless to say we won't be returning.
