Feedback geven1st time crossing the river to Jackie Lennox this evening. Ordered half the place which would have fed the north side and even some left over for the auld dogs. Was expecting to pay a small fortune but the price amazed me! Salad burger amazing! Cheese and onion pie was like heaven. My toddler was even saying yummy while having his chips and cocktails sausages and the only word he knows is yucky usually. 5* rating for ye.
First time getting food here today had to give it a go seeing as everyone talks about it and beleive it or not I've lived in cork from when I was born and I've never had it so ya foods good chips are nice they give ya plenty in a portion also got the sausage supper batter was lovely the women who served us was a we dote and price is reasonable for what you get!!
As a Corkman now in exile, it 's a matter of course to call to Lennox 's on my rare visits home. Not only is the food fantastic and plentiful and the staff pleasant and efficient, it 's also a great nostalgia fix. I remember coming here since I was a small child when it was colloquially known as 'Wiggy 's '. And therein lies my ONLY query: given the contribution of the legendary Cork Hibs star striker, why isn 't there at least ONE photo of him on display?
Love it! They're always busy but the quality of the food and service never falls- staff always up for a bit of banter. Great portions too! Only for the hungry :P
Cant understand a visit to Cork City with not the mandatory dinner at Jackie Lennox. Been traveling extensively and I've never found a best fish&chip anywhere. Also good to see the same staff over the years.
