Trejo's Coffee Donuts - Hollywood

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the vegan menu has grown since my last visit a few years ago! There were many vegan options to choose from, and I tried the maple twist which was light, fluffy, and sweet with a delicious maple glaze. It went perfectly with my tea! I loved it.

It is difficult to find good gluten-free donuts, but these are excellent!

I used to love the small, crispy cake donuts at Trejo, but when I visited a few months ago, I found out that they had completely revamped their vegan donuts. They now look just like the non-vegan ones (and cost the same), and they are still tasty, but more traditional. They also offer cake and yeast donuts in vegan versions now, and on the occasions I have visited, there have been up to five vegan options available. It's definitely worth a try, even if you weren't a fan of their previous mini vegan donuts.

The vegan donuts are pretty small and pricey. Also, no matter what the flavor, they all taste heavily of banana! Sadly, not worth it here. Hope they step it up in the future.
