Carmen's Gelato - Homer

The award winning ice cream is delicious. But the real star is their espresso. Hardly had a better one yet, not even in many places in Italy.

It’s slightly embarrassing, but I must admit we went to Carmen’s no less than three times during our roughly 24-hour stay in Homer. I think that speaks to the quality of their product!! Seriously creamy decadence, made at the highest level of traditional Italian gelato craft. The chocolate noir flavor is unbelievable, so rich and dark, and mind-boggling for being a dairy free sorbetto. Carmen’s is simply an artisan of the frozen dessert world!

Been here twice, loved it even more the second time! By far one of my favorite coffee AND ice-cream places to visit in Homer! I ordered an macchiato and coffee bean ice cream. Both, mixed together, are awesome. Very good and strong separate as well Customer service is on point and fast. Thank you for being amazing!

For quality gelato the prices are fair, I expected they'd be higher for a place located so prominently on the spit. Flavors are rich, try the salted caramel, and the texture is just right. The portions are generous. The service is friendly. Would have loved to have the option of a cone and avoid using plastic, but hey no place is perfect. They offer coffee and espresso, so of course affogato is an option. I'm not sure this place is going to blow your mind, but I doubt anyone would leave here disappointed.

A delicious gelato experience; organic sourced ingredientes, creative flavor combinations, traditional Italian method, wonderful friendly service, beautiful hanging flower baskets, spectacular views from the Spit, and of course a tastebud’s delight. Don’t miss it!
