The restaurant is a decent option for seafood in North LA. While I wouldn't describe it as the best meal I've ever had, finding good fish and shrimp in South LA can be quite challenging. The sauces are a bit on the heavy side, and the coleslaw isn't great, but the seafood and fries more than make up for it. Just be prepared for it to be on the pricier side.
The food was well-prepared. I particularly enjoyed the fish, fresh shrimp, and delicious frog legs. The tartar sauce was sweet, which I liked. The coleslaw was good, but it came in a small cup. The lavish hush puppies were of the boxed variety and didn't measure up to the other offerings. They should strive to serve homemade hush puppies that are as good as the rest of the dishes from the kitchen. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, and I will definitely return.
