We stumbled on this bar on our first day in Homer and got a record of oysters who were some of the best I ever had in my life (and I had oysters all over the world and consider myself real oyster lovers). I would absolutely recommend ordering from them in the future despite the high shipping costs, that is how good they were! We saw all the other good foods past, so we decided to go back the next day and tried the mussels and rockfish ceviche – both great and fresh. Everything looked and smells amazing. The menu is all seafood and limited, but so you know that everything is done well. The inside of the bar is small and cozy and they have a large outdoor deck with an incredible view. The three guys who worked at this place were great and entertained with the guests. I loved the laissez-faire and relaxed surroundings on them – Broken Oar made me fall in love with Homer!
These are honestly the best oysters I've ever had. It's such a charming little place. The staff is incredibly friendly and laid-back. The interior is quite small, so we opted to sit outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. We began with half a dozen, but the waiter recommended that we order a full dozen, and we ended up with two full dozen!
We dined at the restaurant, which was fantastic, but I highly recommend purchasing their raw oysters by the dozen, along with a lemon and a shucker!
I went for some oysters and decided to try the ceviche that was featured in the daily specials. Both the oysters and ceviche were outstanding; truly some of the best I've ever had. The view was also fantastic!
Aside from the wait being somewhat long, the food was very tasty! My family and I enjoyed eating the oysters very much.
