La Tia Paisa Taco Shop - Homewood

My girlfriend ordered from there, and the birria we received was completely incorrect. It had sour cream on it, even though it wasn't supposed to be there, and it didn't come with any onions or cilantro, which apparently comes by default. Additionally, the birria meat was overcooked, and the tortillas/wraps were soggy.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the worst service I've ever experienced. I came in excited for birria tacos, and also ordered rice, cheese, and chips. Everything was terrible— even the cheese and chips were off. How do you mess that up? The tacos were dry and lacked flavor, even with the juice. They charged me an extra $4 for the rice, which was also dry and tasteless. I returned to the restaurant with the food and requested a full refund for the $32 I spent, but all I got back was the food.

The food was disappointing, and the owner, Maira, refused to give me a refund. I ordered takeout, specifically the birria tacos for $15, which only came with four tacos and no sides. I added three sides: some rice, cheese dip, and a tamale. Unfortunately, the tacos were small and dry, and the tamale looked old and was smashed. Everything tasted as if it had been microwaved. Afterward, I decided to return the food for a refund because I didn't want to try anything else, but the owner was very unpleasant about it. She attempted to convince me to try something different instead.

Went for tamales. They didn?t have them, but they had birria tacos/Barbacoa tacos that were so delicious. They hand make tortillas fresh every day. Very good prices.

Really fun and different from most taco spots in town. Our favorites are the pastor and asada tacos. The barbacoa fried with cheese is really nice too. Deep fried thick chips with a mega corn flavor goes well with their dipping salsa.
