Florida Cracker Monkey - HOMOSASSA

First time actually stopping for a fee cocktails and didn't disappoint. Been to the FL cracker restaurant numerous time and only walked through the monkey bar, ordered the Homosassa springs lemonade and it's dangerously good!!! Especially on a nice summer day. Staff/bartenders very friendly, plenty of seating with perfect view of monkey island (no monkeys yet due to reno on island) perfect way to spend a few hours, golf carts and pontoons available for rent if you wanna do some site seeing. I recommend as a nice stop if in the area

The food is superb. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff are courteous and attentive. Kaitlyn served us and she was amazing. Thank you for a great experience.We’ve always frequented the Brookesville location; Florida Cracker has it going on. They spare no expense and are experienced in branding themselves so well. It’s great to hear that the restaurant chain maintains consistent service and quality, even as they expand to more locations.We just found out they have a barbecue and seafood location. Can’t wait to try them out.

Florida Cracker. That term conjures up images of cowboys and ranchers. Old time Florida. Generations of family history steeped in the Sunshine State.Or a local hotspot that has monkeys.We’re no strangers to the place but my out of state visiting sis-in-law was, so it was time to change that.She and I dropped in to watch the boats cruise and swig some Monkey Juice.We started out on the lower level, up close to the action. Families of boaters, couples and cuties queuing in for a feast.Then, we ‘moseyed’ upstairs to oversee the River Crystal. What a parade of traffic passing by. Pontoons, powerboats, airboats more.All ruddering around a little patch of primate land.Plenty to see in a perfect weather setting.This Cracker had a good time. And so did sis!

Holly at Monkey Bar was the best! We’d checked in for a table but weren’t sure how they’d know we were at the bar. She called to let them know we were waiting at the bar, talk about hospitality! She made a great suggestion for a drink and the area was awesome. Kaitlin waited on us for breakfast and she was amazing! For sure add this to your list!!

By motorcycle, by car or by boat, this is the perfect spot on a hot day to chill and watch the boats on the Crystal river. Food was OK but the atmosphere steals the show.
