Billy Bob's Hamburgers - Hondo

Do not worry about billy bob if they are looking for a halfway decent burger. it is bad enough that the pattys paper are thin, but to make the dinge worse, they cook the life from the pattys, dry as the West Texas wind. do not try to ask the staff to cook them well in the medium or medium term. they won't. it is dry carburized or they will not do it. and no nonsense because of cooties, hamburger and my safety I am perfect in the position to observe my own safety. on the other hand, the fried cat is surprisingly good for a burger joint when a wee is a bit expensive. the personal is friendly and attentive, even if it is not allowed to order.

Wait was long because of being short staffed, but it was worth the wait, one if the best hamburgers I've had in a long time!!!!

Visited here for lunch recently on our way through town. It is located right on Hwy. 90 so easy to find and parking was no issue as they weren't very busy. It has a small front entrance and order area with a side entrance to the dining room which has wooden picnic tables. You order at one window and pick up at another. They also have a drive thru. We were waited on promptly and the employee was nice. We ordered the Billy Bob Special hamburger combo 6.99) is 1/4 lb. and comes with small amount of fries and a large drink. The employees were wearing masks but when ordering we notice one working drive through that had her mask under her chin while she was dispensing drinks and them at the handling it to pull it up over he nose and then covered the drinks and took them to the drive through window. Didn't seem sanitary at all. The food came timely and even though ordered no onions, was served with onions. The burger was a good size but meat medium rare and the fries were soft fried, not crispy. The tea was warm, not very sweet and strong. So all in all, we were not too impressed. The place could use some updating but maybe it is suppose to be rustic style. We did notice a covered back patio with some wood picnic tables. We agreed we would not return if ever in the area again. But for the price it was passable.

Extremely unsatisfied with the customer service! My fiancé and I went out to eat with my pregnant sister and a friend and they got our order wrong. WE PAID for the add ons on our burger and when we brought it to there attention the manager was extremely rude! We did not do anything to deserve such rude attitude. We told her that they also forgot the ice cream on my peach cobble and told me we had to pay for the ice cream when they NEVER gave us the money THEY owed for the add ons we didn’t get!
