In the same location as Bo's Kitchen and HiFi Cafe, Asian Flavors is located where the old Taco Bell used to be. During my visit, I tried the Thai Loa Sausage, which is one sausage cut into six pieces. It reminded me of how Chili's cuts a standard egg roll in half to make it look like two pieces, creating the illusion of more food. However, the sausage was worth the price as it was tasty with a nice kick of heat and the accompanying sauce added another layer of flavor. You can choose to eat the sausage with or without the sauce. Overall, I would give it three stars, as I believe it's unfair to judge a restaurant based on just one appetizer. Stay tuned for my next review on a different platform, where you can expect the same corny jokes. Now, it's time for me to enjoy my duck noodle soup. Oh man, it's still hot!
I had a great experience at this restaurant. I tried the green papaya salad and the Laos sausage and they were both delicious. The salad was very spicy and flavorful, especially when I asked for it extra hot. The Laos sausage paired perfectly with the salad, creating a wonderful combination of flavors. There's something special about the sausage that I can't quite pinpoint, but it was incredibly tasty. I will definitely be returning to try more of their dishes.
This place might not look like much on the outside, but looks can be deceiving! I stumbled upon Asian Flavors when I was trying to find something quick to eat at the mall on my lunch break. I am a huge fan of Thai food and saw this place had Thai/Laotian fusion food. I decided to order their spicy long rice noodles with pork belly and now I literally get this every time I go here lol. It comes with clear long rice noodles in a spicy clear broth with generous pieces of pork belly and veggies. I ask to get it pretty spicy although it's already spicy. You know Thai/Laos do not mess around with their spices so this definitely has some heat to it. But I love it!! Price is pretty reasonable here too. They have a variety of other dishes that I have yet to try but they all look good. Highly recommend coming here when you're at Pearlridge!
Asian Flavors serves Thai and other Southeast Asian dishes. They have a new location at Pearlridge Center and this was the first time we had tried their food. It certainly won’t be the last. Their food is so flavorful! My husband and I had the pork belly salad and pork chop salad. Our salads were large (enough for 1-1/2 to 2 meals), tasty and very filling. Some of the pork belly pieces were a little too crispy, but not a biggie. The house dressing was also very flavorful. We ordered a sampler for our son and daughter-in-law. The menu listed the sampler as pork belly, pork chop Lao sausage, but it looked like there were ribs in the photo. When we asked our son if he liked the food, his eyes lit up and said it was really good! That’s a glowing recommendation from him since he normally doesn’t like Asian food. We did a take-out order. Ordering by phone and pickup was quick and easy. Dine-in and delivery are also available. The restaurant was more like a food court set-up where food is ordered at the counter. I don’t think there is table service since the space is shared with two other restaurants. However, the dishes are cooked-to-order and are not sitting in warmers. Asian Flavors is located directly across from the food court in the space formerly occupied by Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
I tried out the Pearlridge mall location for the first time. The food we ordered were: Nam Khao (crispy rice), spicy long rice noodles with tofu, and shrimp summer rolls. I was impressed with the great flavors of the food. The shrimp summer rolls were gigantic. The broth of the long rice noodles were so flavorful. It was a hearty bowl of noodle soup. The most impressive dish is the crispy rice. It was rice cooked to mostly crispy and wrapped with lettuce leaves. It was very savory. I really liked the food we ordered for our initial visit. I hope to come back to try out other dishes on the menu.
