A microwave in the room would have rated my hotel stay with 5 stars. The hotel staff was A1 and the hotel cleaning was exceptional. Thanks for a great experience! When you visit Waikiki, your hotel will be my choice, I will recommend as well as family friends!
We had an excellent stay at the Waikiki Resort Hotel. Everything was very clean and they handled Covid protocols very well. The room was very clean and you can’t beat the location. For the money this place beat out the surrounding hotels and was so close to the beach and surrounding shopping and food. Branden at the front desk was stellar throughout our entire stay and we can’t say enough good things about him!!
This hotel is a half block from the beach of waikiki, less than 5 minutes walk, it is very convenient I love it!! ABC shop is right at the corner, so is McDonald's and other shops. The bus route is also there. My room is decent not bad, but I think it's dated, at the time I feel like I was in a motel quality, so I gave a 3 star rating otherwise (I would give a 3.5 stars but this survey does not have this option). I think this is a great hotel for young adults when you're on a budget. I paid $713.33 for 5 nights, this included taxes and fees. I should have booked flight and hotel together to get better prices, but I didn't do it because Southwest had a sale on the airfare at the time so I booked it before I booked the hotel (I didn't think I would book it together, don't know why) Overall, it is very comfortable, comfortable hotel. I do not recommend renting a car at this time because there is a lack of cars and the price is of $350-700 a day, it is ridiculous if you have a good deal from Expedia.com or other website. Rent no car because you have to pay a parking fee of $35 per night, and drive around Waikiki is hard to find parking. We took buses around and it's $5.50 a day pass. Buses also drive to North Shore, and you get to enjoy the view, it took about 2 hours to get there because many stops in the city, but if you are on the free way, its a smooth ride. Bus drivers are super friendly. We also drove by bus to Diamond Head (10 minutes drive, so convenient). Bus brought us directly to Kailua Beach Park, 1.5 hours drive. Do not forget to visit Island Snow shaved ice cream shop in Kailua. It's Mr. Obama's childhood business and it's good, I have to say it. I've never had a good ice cream. Enjoy your stay!
This was our second stay at the Waikiki Resort Hotel. We booked the 1 Bedroom Penthouse Suite. 3 adults and one teenager. The one bedroom was occupied by 2 adults and the open plan living room was occupied by one adult and one teenager. The living room was big enough to have 2 single roll-in beds (with comfy mattresses) a sofa, sitting chair and dining table for 4. This room also has a kitchenette, stove top, fridge, microwave and pod coffee machine. Our room had ocean views, and a 10 metre balcony which was awesome. This hotel is literally a minutes walk to the beach. We love the service and the staff are always smiling and friendly. Highly recommend for anyone and families. Down stairs you can have an American style buffet breakfast, which we enjoyed on quite a few occasions.
