Top ramen (which I also add to make it better), but still. So this review is not by an authentic Ramon connoisseur, but take my word that it's fucking delicious! This was my first time that Tan-Tan-Ramen is made with sesame paste and soy milk. The taste of broth was incredible. I've got the vegetable-tan-rays and it came steamed with fresh veggies to perfection. The running egg was the cherry upstairs. There's a place where I live, but in the photos the eggs aren't running and that's honest with what keeps me from it. A casual egg is a must. The noodles themselves were also perfect consistency. I think that was my favorite dinner all the way. I really want to go back or try a pathetic attempt to revise it. One of the last, the bowls are big and there is a lot to eat, so it is a good thing that is located in the Ala Moana Mall so you can go later.
I ordered their braised port noodle dish and the meat was sooooo tender and flavorful. I do think the broth was slightly too strong for my taste buds but it was delicious nonetheless!
Amazing little ramen restaurant. We ate here last night and enjoyed every aspect. The place is really clean with friendly staff who are really helpful and attentive. The menu is moderately large and as the name already says, mainly ramen with a few curry dishes in it. We ordered the Tonkatsu Shoyu wheels, the Katsu-Curry and some popcorn chickens as a side. We really underestimated the portion sizes as they were huge and we deffinately ordered too much food. Regardless of everything we ordered was great, full of taste and really filling.
This place looks clean and elegant. Foods are large in portion at a decent price. The 3-piece meat version of ramen is much too much for me. the basic soup of ramen is completely different from the “thick” traditional Japanese ramen. Since the waitress desperately tried to convince us to try their new truffles $20), we ordered one and it tastes better, but the noodle came to a much smaller part! At first my children refused to try the new truffles, the waitress came back and asked them “Why not?” is it the higher price?” etc. I guess this is the Asian way to make market research, but for Americans like my children it was a very rude way. Hopefully, their branch at ala moana has a better service.
We love eating here when we visit Hawaii. My husband couldn't get enough of her rams! All kinds to choose and also delicious curry! The staff was friendly and the interior was stylish with comfortable seating. Definitely a place we will remember for their delicious dishes
