This place is definitely as hole-in-the-wall' as it gets, located in the alley way to the right of Royal Kitchen. This is the place for tasty cheap-eats Chinese food. Not a big fan of their fat-noodle dishes, but definitely try their rice plates, such as their black pepper pork chop w/ rice. For the price, you get really decent food! There's free 30-min validated parking in the back (entrance Kukui st) where the Chinese School is.
Straightforward and no frills, this restaurant offers a satisfying meal. The crispy noodle soup was filled with 8 dumplings, some slices of seafood roll, and a hint of sweetness. I've never seen such a hearty bowl before. They open at 7 o'clock, making it a perfect way to start the day. The food was made fresh to order and the service was friendly, despite the limited space.
This hidden gem of a restaurant serves amazing food. The barbecued pork with crispy skin and savory gravy is outstanding, especially when paired with Chinese mustard greens on top. The rest of the dishes on the menu are also excellent.
Formerly known as Kong Kee, Heaven Chinese Noodle and BBQ Cafe is now serving delicious Cantonese comfort food at incredibly reasonable prices. Located directly across from Royal Kitchen, this cozy restaurant can only accommodate around 12 diners at a time. This family-owned establishment truly deserves more 5-star reviews for their tasty and affordable dishes.
