Maguro Ya - Honolulu

One of the best sushi restaurants ever! We got the chef sushi assortment, and every piece tasted amazing. Also, make sure to get tonkatsu! It was so tender and moist inside but crispy outside. Friendly staffs with great customer service. Overall atmosphere felt very welcoming and clean. Would definitely be back!!

I recommended the 3 set combo. Price is on the high side, but the staff is very friendly.

So amazing! It is also not one of these overpriced sushi restaurants that calculates astronomical numbers for minimal sushi. Their shares are large, and quality is top-tier. Would recommend 100%.

*Make a reservation in Advance* Great staff and amazing food. The Sushi and Sashimi were very fresh. I had the Maguro Belly Steak plate and it was very tasteful and perfectly cooked. Best quality Japanese food I had outside Japan and would recommend to everyone in the area.

If you like authentic Japanese cuisine and fish, this place is a must try. They specialize in Maguro (Bluefin Tuna), but their menu is extensive with many other authentic Japanese classics that focus on seafood. It is a small place, but cozy and relaxed. When I left, it seemed like most regular ones dinning there that day. Since it was my first time to check this place, I ordered her signature dish, the Maguro Zukushi Teishoku. It is a large sampling of tuna produced in various ways and considerably in size. I enjoyed it very much and I recommend it for a first timer that is hungry. Freshness and quality is excellent at Maguro-ya along with their friendly and attentive hospitality. Since it is small, the seat is limited and probably not very comfortable for a group more than 4. Parking is also a challenge in the area. If you're lucky, you might find street parking, but make sure you have a lot of neighborhoods for the counter. There are also parking spaces on the back, which is operated as municipal property.
